History
Colvin Engineering Associates, Inc. is a mechanical engineering firm founded by Tom Colvin in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1986. Since our inception, our principals and project managers have been providing innovative design solutions for hundreds of projects across the United States.
Our current clients include all of the major architectural firms in Utah in addition to contractors, owners and developers.
Our project experience includes all types of commercial, institutional and manufacturing facilities. We provide services that include the analysis, design and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, process piping, energy conservation, CFD modeling, fire protection/smoke control systems and environmental quality/pollution controls.
We utilize a wide array of design elements such as indirect/direct evaporative cooling, under floor air distribution systems, displacement ventilation, and radiant panel systems to accomplish our conservation goals.
